Answer from Miami University:
We require students to pay any outstanding balance before registering for the next term. Our final payment plan installment is due before registration opens for the next term, so we are able to require that all payment plan installments for the current semester must be completed before registering for the next semester.

 I need your help again - I know, what else is new:) What is your policy on the following scenario - a student owes for the current term and needs to register for the next term - do you
1 - allow them to register and drop at a later date if they don't pay - if you drop is it a week before school starts, at drop add - when?
2 - allow them to register and don't care if they owe you money
3 - allow them to register after making some type of payment arrangements to pay the past due balance with the Bursar's office with the potential of dropping them at a later date if they don't follow those arrangements
4 - other
