bursar-l: 1098T's

Question(s) to those schools who have rolling registrations:

1. Your school permits registrations to occur in the prior
calendar year and accept payment. Example: student registers and pays
in December 2007 for a course that begins May 2008. When do you produce
a 1098 for that student, 2007 or 2008?

2. Same student as above but pays in April, 2008. When do you
produce a 1098, 2007 or 2008?

Any input/insight would be appreciated.
